£8.3 million steel support package announced

UK Steel Enterprise, the Corus subsidiary that helps the economic regeneration of communities affected by changes in the steel industry, has announced an £8.3m package of support measures, in the wake of the job losses on Teesside.
Corus sells stake in tar distillation plant to Koppers

Corus Staal BV and Cindu BV, shareholders in Cindu Chemicals BV, on March 1 sold their shares in Cindu Chemicals to Koppers International BV, a wholly owned subsidiary of Koppers Holdings Inc, for an undisclosed consideration.
Corus confirms £60 rise on forging steels

Following Corus Long Products' price rise announcement in January, the company has confirmed a £60 per tonne increase on the base price of forging steels on all products for delivery from April 5, 2010.
